*29 Iyar 2600-27000 (1100 BC.) – Yorzeit (anniversary of the departure from this world) of the prophet Shmuel ben Elkana. The Prophet Shmuel was the last of Israel's judges. After his birth, he was sent to study with coens in Shiloh (where the Portable Temple was located at that time), because his mother Hana, who had been infertile for many years, promised that she would dedicate her son to the service of Bgu.After the death of the high priest Eli, he became a high priest (it is interesting that both Eli's sons – Pinchas and Hofni, and Shmuel's children – Yoel and Abia were unworthy of this position)After the elders of Israel appealed to him to appoint a king over them, “like other nations,” Shmuel, who from the very beginning disapproved of this idea, was forced (by order of Heaven) to agree, and anointed Sha 'ul, chosen by the Most High from the tribe of Ephraim, to the kingdom. Then, again at the direction of the Almighty (when Sha 'ul proved unworthy of such a fast), he anointed David from the tribe of Judah to the kingdom. The tomb of Shmuel is considered to be the hill of al-Nabi Samville near Jerusalem.*29 Iyar 5727(June 8, 1967) – Jerusalem and the Temple Mount were liberated. On this day, the Old City of Jerusalem and the Western Wall (the Wailing Wall) were liberated by soldiers of the Israeli army. The Temple Mount was even in Jewish hands. But a day later it was returned to the Muslims (they refused to accept it for a long time, suspecting trickery on the part of the Jews – they simply did not think that SUCH A THING could be voluntarily given away). In Israel, this day is marked in the calendar as the Day of Jerusalem.chabad.odessa

And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them, and their household, and all the people of Korah, and all the goods” (Koirach 16:31-32).In the treatise "Pirkei Avot" it is told that the mouth of the Earth (vent), which was supposed to absorb Korakh and his accomplices, was created at dusk at the end of the sixth day of Creation.1 Sowing 4856 (25 May 1096)“The Worms massacre.”On the 8th of Iyar (22 days ago), the First Crusade began, bringing innumerable calamities to the Jews. As the granddaughter will say, so will they do.Rabbi Mordechai-Dov took the day for reflection and at the end of the term decided as follows: "Grandmother is right, but to contradict grandfather's tongue does not return. Therefore, live long and happy and leave this world in one, no, day is not in my power. in one season, in one season."Rebbetzin Dvoi-Leya left this world on 1 Sivan, and Rabbi Yaakov-Israel – on 13 Elul.chabad.odessa

*3 sowing 2448(1313 BC) – Beginning of preparation for the Gift of the Torah. On this day, preparations for the Gift of the Torah began. And only after long persuasions did he agree to take up this position, on the condition that he would not be burdened with issues related to material things.

A special envoy was sent to Rabbi Rashab to obtain his approval, but the Rabbi did not agree and recommended that the ceremony be held at the appointed time, giving a blessing for a happy result.chabad.odessa

14 Sivan 5581 (June 14, 1821) — Yorzeit (anniversary of the departure from this world) Rabbi Chaim ben Yitzhak from Volozhin (Volozhiner).Rabbi Chaim was the best student of the famous Rabbi Eliyahu ben Shlomo-Zalman (of the Vilna Gaon). He was one of the opponents of Hasidism (mishnagdim), but in comparison with the teacher he was quite moderate and even almost friendly to the Hasidim, recognizing the value of the ideas of Hasidic teachings. At the beginning of the 19th century, Rabbi Chaim founded the famous yeshiva in his native Volozhyn, which existed for almost a hundred years and formed the religious and spiritual appearance of Lithuanian Jewry. The Volozhin yeshiva became a model and prototype of large Talmudic educational institutions that existed initially in Eastern Europe, and then moved to Israel, the United States and other places (yeshivas in Slobodka (now part of Kaunas, Lithuania), Miri (Belarus), Kelmi, Kielce (both — Poland) and Telza (Telšiai, Lithuania)).

* Sivan 15, 2196(1565 BC) — Yehuda's birthday.*15 Sivan 2315 (1466 BC)— Yurtsayt (anniversary of the departure from this world) Yehuda.Judah, the ancestor of the respective tribe, was the fourth son of our forefather Jacob and his wife Leah.Yehuda was always distinguished by his leadership qualities (in particular, he persuaded the brothers not to kill Yosef, but to sell him into slavery, and he later played a leading role in the reconciliation process). When Jacob blessed his sons before his death, the descendants of Judah were provided with a leadership position "the scepter will not depart from Judah and the legislator from his thighs."Yehuda had five sons, Ohr, Onan, Shelah, and the twins Pepper and Zerah, who began the tribe of Yehuda, the most numerous of all tribes. A descendant of Peretz was King David, who established the only legitimate Jewish ruling dynasty. Moshiach will also be a descendant of David. After the death of David's son, Shlomo, the one Jewish kingdom split in two. The northern, under whose rule there were 10 tribes, was called Israel, the southern (with the capital in Jerusalem) — Judah (in fact, representatives of not only the tribe of Judah lived there, but also the small tribe of Shimon and a number of Levites who had no destiny and served in the Temple)).Although the tribe of Judah historically owned a small territory in the center of the country, over time the name Judah spread to the whole of Eretz Yisrael (at the creation of the state of Israel, the question of what to call the new state — Israel or Judah - was also debated). In addition, the name "Jew", which used to be the name of people from the corresponding tribe, eventually became synonymous with the word "Jew" (just as the Jewish religion was called "Judaism").Yehuda lived 119 years and left this world when the Jews lived in Egypt.*15 Sivan 5665(June 18, 1905) — Yorzeit (anniversary of the departure from this world) Rabbi Shmuel-Betzalel Sheftel (Rashbats), teacher and mentor of the sixth Lubavitcher Rabbi, Rabbi Yosef-Itzhak.For the first time, Rabbi Rashbats, a native of a Mishnaged town (that is, a town where opponents of Hasidism lived), arrived in the Lubavitches on Sunday Day 1 Adar 5608 (1848). Over the next almost six decades, Rashbats became not just a supporter of Hasidic ideas, but one of the most prominent Hasidim of the third Lubavitcher Rabbi, Rabbi Menachem-Mendel (Rabbi Zemach-Tzedek), as well as one of the most prominent Hasidim of the fourth and fifth Rabbis, respectively Rabbi Shmuel (Rabbi Maarash) and Rabbi Sholom-Dov-Ber (Rabbi Rashab).*15 Sivan 5687(June 15, 1927) — The sixth Lubavitcher Rabbi, Rabbi Yosef-Yitzhak (Rabbi Rajac), was arrested and placed inShpalernaya Prison. It happened on Tuesday night to Wednesday, from June 14 to June 15. Rebeau Rayats in his apartment at Mokhova, 22, just finished receiving the last visitors who wanted to communicate with him personally (such personal audience is called in Hebrew Yeshushus). The last visitors came at 23.00, so only at midnight Rebbe was able to read the Marai evening prayer, wash their hands and sit with the whole family for the evening meal. But ... It was a few minutes after midnight, as the door call came. The door was opened and people with exclamations "this GPU! Who is Schneerson here? ”Two Jews — Nachmanson and Lulov — came from Hasidic families, who, unfortunately, descended to the level of servants of evil, led the "operation" to arrest the Rebbe.*15 Sivan 5695(June 16, 1935) — The sixth Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Rajac, moves to the Polish city of Otwock. After his expulsion from the Soviet Union, the Rebbe settled in the capital of independent Latvia, Riga. In 1932, he left the city and went to Warsaw, the capital of Poland, and in 1935, Rabbi Rajac moved from there to the nearby small town of Otwock.chabad.odessa
