📖 Lubavitcher calendar: MIVTSA Tora — "TORAH ACTION"
Community
📖Mivtsa Thor— one of the ten campaigns ("mivtsoym") proclaimed by the Lubavitcher Rebbe. This action was announced in 1974 (5734) together with other masters: "Mezuzah", "Tsadaka", "House full of books" and "Saturday candles".🔥goaling— to awaken in every Jew the desire to add to the study of the Torah, using every free minute to study — over the legal minimum, that is, the morning and evening lesson.🌿Campaign HistoryAs early as 1971 (5731), on the day of the 15th of Shevat, the Rebbe said:“It is time to conquer the world through Torah study with even greater diligence and strength!”Three years later, this appeal became a separate campaign —"Mivtsa Tora"ofThe Rebbe instructed the shliakhs (envoys) to inspire Jews to teach at least a little every day, as well as to be an example themselves — especially to yeshiva students who must show what it means to live the Torah.📜 The Rebbe also advised to memorize passages from the Torah to repeat them on the road, at work — in any situation.👩‍🦰Women's ParticipationIn his letters, the Rebbe emphasized that Mivca Thor also applies to women, if this does not interfere with their main mission — the upbringing of children.🏫Contemporary ActivitiesToday, as part of the campaign, Torah lessons are held in Chabad homes and communities around the world. In many Chabad yeshivas, "Mivtsa Tora" is organized every year with exams on the studied treatises of the Talmud.📚 In 2015, Rabbi Israel Ashkenazi launched a projectKhokhmat HaKhaim— discussion of spiritual values based on question cards, created for the general public.🏙️Yagdil Torah OrganizationCreated in 2008 by Rabbi Levi-Itzhak Brod in memoryof her son.Its mission is for every resident of Crown Gates to study Torah. The organization conducts dozens of lessons in different languages, prints weekly training sheets and organizes a 24-hour place for Torah classes.🕯️When disasters occur in the worldThe Rebbe said that at such times it is necessary to strengthen all campaigns, because they are protection and salvation, and especially "Mivts Thor":“When a Jew studies the Torah, he connects with the Most High Himself, because “ the Torah and the Most High are one” (as it is said in the Tania). Therefore, the strength of protection in this is special."📘Findings:The study of Torah is not just a duty, but a shield, light, and life. Each of us can be a part of this sacred action: by adding a little Torah to our day, we connect with G-d and strengthen the whole world.Source:https://t.me/+8KbDy9dQVqAxZWE8
Torah Lessons for the Golden Age Believers
Community
Every Thursday in the Central Synagogue of Kyiv there are special lessons for believers of the "golden age" on the weekly section of the Torah, which is conducted by the chaplain of the Armed Forces of Ukraine David Milman. These lessons are extremely important and necessary for our community.Torah classes help believers deepen their knowledge of the holy texts, understand their deep meaning, and apply them in everyday life. It is especially valuable that these lessons are conducted for people of the “golden age” who have great life experience and wisdom.Under the leadership of Chaplain David Milman, believers have the opportunity not only to study the Torah, but also to discuss important spiritual and life issues, share their thoughts and receive support from the community. This helps to strengthen spiritual ties, create an atmosphere of unity and mutual support.Such lessons are an important element of spiritual enrichment and development, helping to preserve traditions and pass them on to future generations. We invite all believers of the "golden age" to join these classes and together deepen their knowledge of the Torah.
📖 Lubavitch calendar: "SIHA Rebe ON SHABBAT HAYA SARA"
Community
📖 At the beginning of the chapter, the Torah says:“And Sarah's life was a hundred years, and twenty years, and seven years, all the years of Sarah's life.”Why does the Torah repeat:all the years of Sarah's life?🕯The Rebbe explains:The Torah wants to emphasize that all the years of her life were equally good — not because everything was easy, but because in all periods Sarah lived with the same faith, joy and dedication to the Almighty.Even when it was difficult, it turned the test into light.👶After Sarah leftThe Torah immediately tells about the marriage of Yitzhak and Rivka. From this the Rebbe teaches:The life of the righteous continues in his children and in those he has influenced.Real life is not just breathing, but the impact that remains after us.💫Lesson for us:Each of us can be “Sarah” in our environment —to give warmth, faith, Hasidic joy, to inspire others. And then our "lives" continue — because of those to whom we have given light.Source:https://t.me/+8KbDy9dQVqAxZWE8

📌28 hashwana5024 (November 2, 1263) — Yorzeit (anniversary of the departure from this world) Rabbi Jonah of Heron.Rabbi Jonah was born in the Spanish city of Heron (Gerona) in 1180 in a respectable respected family and was a cousin of the famous sage and commentator of the Torah, Rabbi Moshe ben Nachman, known to us as Ramban (by the way, his son, Rabbi Shlomo, married the daughter of Rabbi Jonah).Rabbi Yonah studied under Rabbi Shlomo of Montpellier and during his discussions with the Rambam (Rabbi Moshe ben Maimon) actively supported his teacher. The debate led to the burning of the Rambam's book More Nevuhim (The Guide of the Lost), and when 24 carts filled with volumes of the Talmud were burned nine years later by French priests in Paris, Rabbi Yona saw in this also his guilt caused by earlier attacks on the Rambam. He announced to the whole world that he would go to Eretz Yisrael, to the city of Tiberias, to Rambam's grave, where he would ask the deceased for forgiveness in the presence of a minyan. And Rabbi Jonah went on his way. True, he stayed for three years in Barcelona, where he taught local Jews, necessarily citing the works of Rambam and his regulations. When he arrived from Barcelona to Toledo, the local community begged him to stay here to give Talmudic lessons. In Toledo, Rabbi Jonah died suddenly, and his departure from this world was mourned by all the Jews of Spain.📌28 hashwana5672 (November 19, 1911) - Yorzeit (anniversary of the departure from this world) Rabbi Michoel Bliner (Michoel der Alter, Old Michoel) mentor of the yeshiva "Tomhey tmimim" in Lyubavichy. For many years, Rabbi Michoel was a yeshiva tutor in the Belarusian town of Nevel, but one day the fifth Lubavitcher Rabbi Sholom-Dov-Ber (Rabbi Rashab) asked him to move to Lubavitcher to become a yeshiva tutor "Tomhei tmimim". The residents of Nevel did not want to let Rabbi Michoel go and wrote a letter to Rabbi Rashab with a request not to take Rabbi Michoel away from them, but the Rabbi replied that the stay of Rabbi Michoel in Lubavitches was much more important than in Nevel. One of the distinctive features of Rabbi Michael was the strongly expressed quality of Awwat Yisrael (love for the Jewish people), and his affection and love for yeshiva disciples simply had no limits.source: chabad.odessa
📖 Lubavitch Calendar: Mivtsa Mezuzah
Community
Mivtsa Mezuzah— one of the ten campaigns proclaimed by the Lubavitcher Rebbe in 5734 (1974).🏠Campaign HistoryThe campaign was proclaimed by the Rebbe in 5734 — the same year that “Mivtsa Tzedaka”, “Mivtsa Bayt Male Sfarim” and “Mivtsa Nerot Shabbat Kodesh” began.Mivts Mezuzah's goal is to have a kosher mezuzah installed in every room of a Jewish home. It brings protection to all who live in the dwelling and accompanies the Jew anywhere, as it says in Tegilim:“The Lord will guard your way out and your way in from now on and forever.”🔐Security and protectionThe Rebbe stressed that many tragedies could have been prevented if Mivtsa Mezuzah had started twenty years earlier. The Talmud says that the mezuzah guards not only the house itself, but also those who go beyond it. The Rebbe disseminated this teaching and explained: The Talmud itself singles out the special power of protection possessed by the mezuzah. Each new mezuzah installed in a Jewish home enhances the protection of the entire nation of Israel and even enhances the spiritual strength of the mezuzahs already established.🕯Tragedy in MaalotAfter the terrorist attack in Maalot (23 Iyar 5734), when terrorists seized schoolchildren from Safed and killed them during a failed rescue operation, the Rebbe ordered a mezuzah check at the school. The results were striking: the number of non-kosher mezuzahs found matched the number of fatalities. When new victims were later reported, the Rebbe asked for a repeat check — and again found as many faulty mezuzahs as new deaths became known. The Rebbe said this:“I worked extremely hard on Mivtsa Mezuzah… And now you can see how all the events were related to this commandment.”Source:(https://t.me/+8KbDy9dQVqAxZWE8
Question TO the rabbi: WHAT IS SHKHITAT LYUBAVYCH and WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT?
Community
🥩 Shkhitat Lyubavych is not just a kosher slaughter. This is a whole system of requirements established by the Lubavitcher Rebbe to ensure the highest level of kosherness during the slaughter of animals. In the Hasidic tradition, food was never just “physical.” What a person eats affects his character, mood, and spiritual sensitivity. Therefore, the Hasidim have always sought the highest level in shechita.📖 The Rebbe said that Shkhitat Lyubavich is a form of spreading the sources of Hasidism. That is, the shechita itself must be so pure and Hasidic as to bring spiritual light to those who consume this meat.🙏 The main principle: shokhet is a person with a special reverence for Heaven, who studies hasidut, prays thoughtfully and lives in Hasidic style. He is responsible not only for the technique, but also for the spiritual influence of his work.🔍 An important part is checking the knife. Even the slightest notch invalidates the shechita. Therefore, it is checked several times, slowly, carefully and with full concentration. In strict shechitsa there is a special vigilant bodec, which monitors only knives.🏘 In the past, each Chabad community had its own shochet and consumed only its shechita. Today, shechita has become industrial, but the Rebbe has articulated a clear standard that allows Chabad rigor to be maintained even in large-scale production.🧼 The Chabad shokheti should have a special daily routine: mikvah before work, studying Hasidism before prayer, focused prayer. This creates an atmosphere of full responsibility.✨ Shkhitat Lyubavych is not just a high-level kosher. It is a combination of precise halakhic practice and Hasidic inner purity. That is why it is considered one of the important symbols of the Chabad tradition.📖 Lubavitcher calendar:https://t.me/+8KbDy9dQVqAxZWE8

📌1 Kislev 1657 (2104 BC) — The first rainbow.A few days after the end of the Flood, a rainbow appeared in the sky for the first time. This interesting optical phenomenon (diffraction of rays passing through a water suspension) was given to people as a reminder of the Flood and the covenant made by the Most High with the sons of Noah after its end. Then the Most High promised people that, despite our behavior, such a thing would not happen again. Therefore, in the Jewish tradition, unlike other peoples, the appearance of a rainbow is not a very good sign. This means that people have earned a severe punishment by their behavior, but, remembering his promise, the Almighty forgives us. But just so we know - only that ancient union, sealed by a rainbow, prevents punishment!Several periods were recorded in history (it is no coincidence that they coincided with the periods of the life of the great righteous), when the rainbow did not appear in the sky at all. One such person was the great cabalist Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai.📌1 Kislev 5587 (December 1, 1826) — Rabbi Aaron HaLevi Gurevich from Streshele was released from prison.Rabbi Aaron, one of the first disciples of the Alter Rebbe, was arrested around the same time as the Miteler Rebbe. This happened after his son, Rabbi Michael-David, quarreled with the man who had slandered Miteler to the rabbi. The slanderer promised to put his father behind bars and kept his word. However, an officer who had once seen slave Aaron doing kiddush on Friday evening (and he did so with great inspiration) told the governor that such a “living person” could not be a criminal. The verdict was overturned and a few days before Miteler's release, Rabbi Aaron was also released.📌1 Kislev 5657 (November 6, 1896) — Birthday of Rabbi Shmarya Gurarye.Rabbi Shmaryag's father was Rabbi Menachem-Mendel Gurarye, one of the greatest Hasids of Rabbi Sholom-Dov-Ber, the fifth Lubavitch Rebbe. Rabbi Shmaryaѓu studied at the Lubavitsky Yeshiva "Tomhei Tmimim" and in 1920 married the eldest daughter of Rabbi Yosef-Yitzhak, the sixth Lubavitsky Rebbe, becoming one of his assistants. After the departure of Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak from this world, many Hasids believed that it was Rabbi Shmaryagha who should lead Chabad, but he refused in favor of his brother-in-law Menachem Mendl, the husband of Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak's youngest daughter and helped him in his work for many years.📌1 Kislev 5738 (November 11, 1977) — For the first time since Shmini-Atzeret, the Rebbe left his room. After his heart attack at Chemini-Atzeret in 5738, the Rebbe stayed in his room, located in building number 770 on Eastern Parkway, until the beginning of the month of Kislev, but on the evening of 1 Kislev he left his room for the first time. This day turned into a holiday for the Hasidim, a day of feasting and joy.source: chabad.odessa
