THE MYSTERY OF BAAL SHEM 'S "IMPERFECT" BITCH GOODS
Community
Imagine the following picture: Medzhybizh, Sukot holiday. The founder of Hasidism, Saint Baal Shem Tov, is visited by well-known rabbinical opponents — Metnaghdim — and they declare:— Some details of your bitch raise questions!Besht starts a discussion with them, proving that according to the laws of the Torah, his bitch is completely kosher. But at some point... he just tilts his head in his arms. In a few seconds, he opens his palm, and on it is a note on parchment:“Rabbi Israel's bitch Baal Shem Tov is absolutely kosher.Caption: Metatron, prince of the heavenly presence. ”Amazing! But wait: why did Besht need to show such signs and disturb Heaven? And the main thing: how could it happen that a great tzaddik, who fulfilled all the commandments at the level of "megadrin min ha-megadrin" — with the highest diligence and piety — built a bitch without much external brilliance and numerous decorations? The Seventh Lubavitcher Rebbe explains that this unusual act contains an extremely profound lesson for each of us. 💡🛑 WHY DESCEND INTO SIMPLICITY?The Feast of Sukhoth is “the beginning of the counting of sins.” Unlike Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, when a person is on spiritual heights, on Sukhoth we return to the earthly world, where it is easy to succumb to the “heat” of materiality. The bitch becomes our protection from this spiritual fire. But the spiritual level is different for everyone. In the leaders of the generation, the bitch shines with the highest light, while in ordinary Jews it is a completely different spiritual reality.Baal Shem Tov decided to go down to the level of ordinary Jews. He deliberately built a simpler bitch — completely kosher by law, but without additional guides, that is, a special decoration of the commandment, familiar to him. Why? 👉 To set an example and save ordinary Jews from sin. That they also have simple, accessible, and kosher spiritual protection.A true leader does not sit in an ivory tower and think only of his own high standards. He is ready to concede a personal guide — the highest level of decoration of the commandment, of course, remaining strictly within the limits allowed by the Halakhah — in order to help another Jew and bring him closer to the Torah.Likewise, Alter Rebbe could break away from G-d's highest knowledge — “Imha lo hafazti” — in order to go and do good to a particular person.🎯 WHAT LESSON DOES THIS TEACH US TODAY?Of course, we are talking about the great righteous. An ordinary person does not have the right to decide independently where it is possible to refuse halachic or traditional decoration of the commandment. However, Besht's main message runs through the ages:For the ✨ sake of the spiritual good of another Jew and his approach to the Torah, a true mentor is ready to give up his own spiritual comfort and ambitions, while acting exclusively within the law.And if we are talking about Jews who, through no fault of their own, do not have the opportunity to build a bitch at all, the more our rabbis and mentors invest their whole soul in order to bring the Divine Light into their lives.May this spiritual protection bring us closer to the fulfillment of the great promise:“And stretch out the bitch of Your peace over us.”in the near future, with the arrival of the Messiah! ⚡️According to the materials of the conversation of Lubavitsky Rebbe on Simchat Torah 5727 (1966).Source:Lubavitcher calendar

When not sitting in a bitch?
Community
Sukhoth requires a special attitude towards temporary housing. The main principle is that during all days, a holiday bitch should become a real home for a person. This means that the main household chores — including meals and sleep — should be moved there. At the same time, the law establishes a different level of severity for different classes. A light snack, such as fruit or a cup of tea, is allowed outside of the holiday bitch. However, even a short sleep of five or ten minutes outside is prohibited if weather conditions allow you to stay inside.Particular attention is paid to the choice of a place for the construction of a bitch. According to Rabbi Moshe Iserles (Ramo), if a bitch is erected from the beginning where it is impossible or dangerous to sleep — for example, because of the threat of robbery or unfavorable conditions — it loses its proper status. In such a structure, it is impossible to fully perform even those duties for which it is suitable, because it does not perform all the functions of a real home. Some other authorities disagreed with this position, in particular Haham Zvi. The Mishnah Brura code states that from the beginning one should not build a bitch in a place where it is impossible to fulfill all the requirements of the commandment. If there is no other possibility, the person does what is in his power. However, in doubtful cases, it is not customary to say a special blessing for staying in the bitch — in accordance with the rule that if there is doubt, blessings are not said. There are also exceptions related to personal discomfort or physical conditions. The law exempts from being in the bush a person who is experiencing significant suffering due to cold, rain or strong winds — such that they would leave even an ordinary home.In cold regions, it is customary either to dress warmly to fulfill the commandment, or to use the bitch mainly for day rest and meals, when the air temperature becomes more favorable.Source:https://toldot.com/

Third day of Sukkot🌿The first day of khol ha-med✨AYOM-YOMThrough the ministry of G-d during the trials, the yechida is revealed — the deepest level of the G-d soul, its inseparable connection with G-d."Wrapped and attached to You" — these words speak of the unity of the soul with Godhead. Thanks to this, the soul "carries your yoke" — fulfills the Torah and the commandments with selflessness. Then the echidna of the divine soul is revealed, which directs even the deepest forces of the animal soul to holiness. This strengthens a person in fulfilling the Torah and commandments, fills his ministry with inner vitality, joy and real pleasure. When this connection is revealed, successes and failures in material affairs cease to control a person, because his true joy is contained in proximity to G-d.💫 Trials don't just test us. Sometimes they are the ones who discover the power of the soul, which we did not even know about before.📖DAILY STUDY▪️ Humash: “Vesot ha-Brakha”, second excerpt — Dvirim 33:8–12▪️ Tagilim: Sections 83–87▪️ Tania: Igeret HaKodesh, Epistle 22 — Mid🌿HABITS OF THE DAYIn the hall, ha-medes continue to fulfill all the basic commandments of Sukhoth:▪️ are and arrange meals in the bitch;▪️ fulfill the commandment of four types of plants;▪️ read the full Galel, Goshanot and Musaf prayer;▪️ add "Yaale ve Yavo" to Amida and Birkat ga-Mazon;▪️ according to the custom of Chabad, tefillin is not imposed in the hall of ha-medes.Hall of ha-medes combines weekdays with holiness. Ordinary business returns, but the light and joy of Sukhoth remain with us.

🏕 Sukkot: what is the deep meaning of the holiday?
Community
After Yom Kippur, the day of awe and inner focus as we stood before the Creator, comes Sukhoth, a time of deep joy. What does sukkah mean in the language of Hasidism and why does this holiday have such customs?☁️ Holiday of "clear light"We fulfill many commandments with a certain part of the body: we eat matzah with our mouths, put tefillin on our hands and heads, and give it with our hands. And to the sukkah, a person enters everything — from the head to the heels, along with his clothes and thoughts. Hasidism explains: the sukkah personifies above the divine light that envelops a person on all sides. Under its roof, both the righteous and the common man are under the protection of the Clouds of Glory.🌿 Sign of our victory in the Heavenly CourtIn the days of Rosh Hashanah, we meditated on our actions and stood before the Heavenly Court. After Yom Kippur, we take lulav and etrog. According to the Hasidic explanation, four species of plants are like a sign of victory in this court. The joy of Sukhoth is the joy of those who have received a good decision and can go on with their heads held high.💡 Why in the tradition of Chabad do not sleep in a sukkah? In sukkah, the Hasidim of Chabad eat, study, and spend time, but sleep at home at night. One of the Hasidic explanations connects this custom with the special spiritual light of the Sukkah - the makifin de Bina. It is perceived as so high that during sleep a person cannot be aware of it as in a state of wakefulness.Sukkot reminds us: based on the usual walls of the house, we are not left without protection. Our true support is the love of the Creator, which envelops us.Hag Sukkot Samaah! 🌿🍊📸 In the photo: Sukkah Rebbe against the background of building 770.source: 📖 Lubavitcher Calendar
Four plants - one people
Community
Four types of plants on Sukhoth: what do they tell about unity? The Torah commands on Sukkot to take four types of plants: etrog, lulav, hadas and arava. At first glance, this is a festive rite. But behind it is a deep thought about people and how we live together.Etrog has both taste and aroma. It symbolizes a person who studies the Torah and does good deeds.Lulaw is a branch of a date palm. Its fruits are sweet, but the palm itself does not have a distinct aroma. This is the image of a person who has knowledge, but does not yet fully embody it in actions.Hadas — myrtle — smells, but does not produce edible fruits. It reminds of a person who may not know much, but sincerely helps others.Arava — willow — has neither taste nor distinct smell. It symbolizes a person whose knowledge and good deeds do not catch the eye. This commandment requires all four kinds. Even a beautiful etrog will not replace a simple willow branch. So it is in the community: everyone has their place, and unity is born when we accept each other and feel mutual responsibility. There is also a personal content here. The Torah says, “Take it.” The study of the Torah, good deeds and spiritual experience cannot remain only someone else's merit — each of us must take our own step. When we hold the four species together and turn them in different directions, it reminds us that the world is made up of different people, but we are all connected. The strength of the community is in the unity in which everyone is needed.Source:https://toldot.com/
